Caring at home…
Below you will find good advice and tips on how to extend the shelf life and thus also the enjoyment of your potted plants from Rosa Danica.
Potted roses
- Place potted roses brightly, preferably in partial sun. Water from below so the plant absorbs the water itself. Avoid “soaking” in water. Pour, if necessary, excess water from after 30 min.
- For the sake of shelf life, the rose should be placed at an appropriate distance from fruit, which secretes the ethylene *
- Kordana® potted roses can be planted in garden pots or beds. In many cases, they will bloom several years in a row if they are cut back and not exposed to hard frost.
Campanula
- Place your campanula brightly, preferably in partial sun. Water from below so the plant can absorb the water itself. Prevent “soaking” in water. Pour, if necessary, excess water from after approx. 30 min.
- For shelf life, campanula should be placed at a suitable distance from fruit, which secretes the ethyl*
- Campanula is a perennial. It can therefore be planted out in pots or beds, where it will bloom year after year with renewed vigor and growth.
Schlumbergera
- Place Schlumbergera bright and preferably cool, but not directly in the sun.
- Water preferably from below. Avoid your schlumbergera “soaking” in water. Pour, if necessary, excess water from after 30 min.
- After flowering, the plant can be left as a decorative green plant. Here preferably with a slight drying out between waterings. It will flower again next autumn/winter if it is not exposed to light at night, as flowering requires a short-day length.
- For shelf life, schlumbergera should be placed at a suitable distance from fruit, which secretes the ethylene*
*Ethylene is a natural gas that develops during the maturation of, among other things, fruit and vegetables. This gas reduces the durability of the plant.
